Winners of the 2016 Road Trippin’ Photo Contest

Congratulations Patrick Betts of Kent, Washington who won both first and third place, and Madi Carlson of Seattle, Washington who won second place in the OutdoorsNW 2016 Road Trippin’ photo contest in January.

Betts is a rock climbing guide and clearly loves a good Northwest road trip as proven by his great photos of car camping with friends. His efforts landed him the Cover of the OutdoorNW Winter Edition! www.OutdoorsNW.com

After contacting Carlson about her winning photo, we found out that not only does she love to ride her bike everywhere, she is also the author of the book Urban Cycling (Mountaineers Books). She’s the Director of Kidical Mass, Founder of Seattle Critical Lass and the board president for Familybike Seattle.

To qualify for the contest, photos were to be taken in the Northwest outdoors and include gear and a vehicle, such as an auto, bicycle, camper, trailer, or any other mode of transportation. Photos could be from any decade or era, but you had to be either in the shot or the photographer.

We love it when readers share their photos! To be eligible to participate in our photo contests, all pictures must follow the rules and the theme of the contest.

Our current photo contest is called Get Hoppy Outdoors and involves enjoying a good beer responsibly on an outdoor adventure. See the link here for details.
