The SpokeFest Association, a nonprofit focused on bicycle education, organizes and promotes cycling events for families and individuals to enjoy while learning bicycle safety and maintenance. The Association also encourages the use of riding a bike as a healthy, energy-efficient form of transportation, recreation and fitness activity.

The annual fundraiser, produced by the City of Spokane Parks and Recreation and the Spokane Mountaineers for the past decade, annually draws over 2,000 people and is the largest gathering of the bicycle community in eastern Washington. This year SpokeFest is Sunday, Sept. 10.

Beyond SpokeFest, the Association also promotes other community bicycling events.

  • Spokane Summer Parkways is a health and community building event held every year on Solstice (June 21).
  • KidicalMass is a 3-mile, family-friendly bike ride promoting safe riding habits for kids of all ages. This event will coincide with the global Kidical Massive event June 16, 2017.
  • Spokane Bikes promotes bicycle commuting for better lifestyle and environment.
