Just as the myth of the romance between the Fire King and the Ice Queen grows each year, so to do the offerings at the 18th annual Oregon WinterFest. The King and Queen romance informs many of the attractions at The Oregon Winter Festival - the pair open and close the event celebrations and you’ll find royal ice sculptures and a royal run to get the heart going.
Concert goers get things moving in the Ice Queen’s U.S. Cellular Ice Chalet, where nationally recognized Hawaiian reggae artist J. Boog and pop sensation the Phases will headline the weekend concerts.
Families will enjoy the OMSI Kids Area with interactive science and children’s play areas. Get the little ones into the Kids Hot Cocoa Run where each Prince and Princess will run from station to station, building a cup of hot cocoa. In the Marketplace, arts and crafts, fashion and specialty foods will fill two large heated tents.
Event goers will also enjoy the Wine Walk where they can embark on a tasting tour of fine wines as you stroll through the Old Mill District Friday night. Warm your heart with outstanding metal fire sculptures, and don’t miss the return of the WinterFest Rail Jam and the High Flying Metal Mulisha motorcycle jumpers. There is something for everyone.
