Rails and Ales | March 10

February 22, 2023

If there’s one thing Pacific Northwesterners know how to do, it's celebrate ski season. And Rails and Ales is certainly one of Washington’s biggest winter celebrations! It’s the state’s biggest rail jam contest of the year – and it happens on the streets of downtown Wenatchee. I thought Studio 13 might have some interest in reporting from afar!

Rails and Ales 2023 will be held on March 10 at 5 p.m. Mission Ridge Ski + Board Resort brings snow to Orondo Ave to create a rail course right in the action of the city. Some of the best skiers and snowboarders in the area compete for cash prizes while the street buzzes with a beer garden serving local Badger Mountain Brewing brews and live music from local bands Massy Ferguson.

We’d love for you to come check out Rails and Ales. While you’re up in Wenatchee, spend a day or two skiing or boarding at Mission Ridge and check out the igloo at the top of chair 1, decked out with snow-made benches and lights – also serving beer and wine on Friday and Saturday nights from 5-7pm.
